The 2009 Town of Rhinebeck Preliminary Budget was developed with the concern for our community under the economic crisis we are faced with today. Both the mortgage crisis and oil crisis has effected our community as it has others throughout our nation.

The Town Board has made a diligent effort to responsibly reduce the tax burden on our citizens as well as provide for essential services during these uncertain times. The Rhinebeck Town Board is united in addressing the needs of our community.

I hope you find that the publishing of the preliminary budget on the municipal website useful and welcome comments on Thursday November 6th at 5pm at the budget public hearing. Feel free to contact me at town.supervisor@rhinebeck-ny.gov

    Respectfully yours

    Tom Traudt

    Town Supervisor
