Rhinebeck - Election Districts


General Elections:
Applications for registering to vote in the General elections are available at Town Hall. Individuals registered to vote in the General Election are also able to vote for Town and Village officials. Only those living in the Village may vote in Village elections.

Village Elections:
As of the 2006 elections village residents CAN NO LONGER register at Village Hall for village elections. To vote in village elections, village residents MUST be registered with the Dutchess County Board of Elections. Appllications are available in Town Hall 80 East Market Street, Rhinebeck. For 2006 the registration deadline is March 10th and the election will be held March 21st.

School Voting:
Residents of the Rhinebeck Central School District need not be registered to vote in school elections. Proof of residency is required. School district voting takes place at the High School.

A total of seven (7) election districts exist within The Town and Village of Rhinebeck. Voting is done by voting machine at the following locations:

Town Hall - 80 East Market St.: Districts 2,4,5
Methodist Church Parish Hall - xx East Market St. : Districts 1,7
Rhinecliff Fire House: Districts Districts 3,6

District 1
Bounded on the north by the Village line, and then Rt 308,
Bounded on the east by Rt 9G,
Bounded on the south by the Town line, and
Bounded on the west by Rt 9.

District 2
Bounded on the north by the Town line,
Bounded on the east by the Town line,
Bounded on the south by Rt 308 to Salisbury Turnpike to Round Lake Rd to Town line, and
Bounded on the west by east side of Mulberry St. to Rt. 9 to Rt 9G to Town line.

District 3
Bounded on the north by Rhinecliff Rd. to the Village line,
Bounded on the east by Rt. 9,
Bounded on the south by the Town line, and
Bounded on the west by the Hudson River. to Rt. 9 to Rt 9G to Town line.

District 4
Bounded on the north by the Village line,
Bounded on the east by the west side of Mulberry St.,
Bounded on the south by Rt. 308, and
Bounded on the west by the Village line.

District 5
Bounded on the north by Rt. 308,
Bounded on the east by the Village line,
Bounded on the south by Mill Road, Mill Street, and the Village line, and
Bounded on the west by the Village line.

District 6
Bounded on the north by the Town line,
Bounded on the east by Rt. 9G to Rt. 9 to the Village line,
Bounded on the south by the Village line to Rt 308, and
Bounded on the west by the Hudson River.

District 7
Bounded on the north by Rt 308 to Salisbury Turnpike to Round Lake Rd to Town line, and
Bounded on the east by the Town line,
Bounded on the south by Crumb Elbow Creek, and
Bounded on the west by Rt. 9G.
